TWU and Holston Conference Archivist
Job Description
Under supervision of the Holston Conference and the Tennessee Wesleyan University Library, the Holston Conference Archivist (a part-time position) will:
· Organize, catalog, and preserve the Holston Conference Archives (HCA) collection of historic United Methodist Church books and documents
· Prepare annual reports and communicate with the Holston Conference Commission on Archives and History Committee
· Prepare a collection development policy including gifts policy
· Catalog records for holdings, create finding aids,
· Digitize materials and properly organize them in a digital space
· Provide reference assistance to users of the HCA
· Collaborate with TWU faculty to create student involvement in the archives
· Assess and organize the Tennessee Wesleyan University (TWU) library’s archives
· Provide reference assistance and instruction to TWU library users
· Contribute to the Digital Library of Appalachia holdings
· Create online awareness of the archives through social media, LibGuides, etc.
· Manage student assistant(s) and/or interns assigned
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Accredited Masters in Library Science (MLS, MLIS)/archival studies or comparable field required
· Archives experience preferred
· Familiarity with Content DM or other content management systems
· Familiarity with OCLC WMS and LibGuides preferred
· Commitment to preservation and conservation

Technical Support Specialist
The Technical Support Specialist serves as the first point of contact for technical assistance, providing high-quality support to campus users across a range of technologies. This includes computer hardware and software, multimedia devices, multifunction printers, network components, and telephony systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Respond promptly to incoming service requests; evaluate and prioritize tickets to ensure timely resolution.
· Troubleshoot and resolve both basic and advanced issues related to hardware, software, and peripheral devices; perform necessary repairs or coordinate replacements.
· Install, configure, and support client software, hardware, and peripherals used within the institution.
· Independently resolve client-side network and peripheral connectivity issues.
· Collaborate with senior support staff to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex technical problems.
· Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients regarding the status and progress of service requests.
· Track and manage inventory of endpoint devices, hardware, software, licenses, warranties, and lifecycle schedules.
· Adhere to and promote best practices in help desk and service management; support the implementation and maintenance of enterprise-level client management procedures.
· Prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple assignments in a high-pressure environment with minimal supervision.
· Demonstrate strong customer service skills, organizational abilities, and a collaborative mindset to build and sustain effective relationships with clients and team members.

Director of Library & Information Services
Tennessee Wesleyan University is seeking dynamic candidates for Director of Library & Information Services to serve the TWU Merner-Pfeiffer Library and the campus community. The Director serves as the chief administrative officer for library and information services, a member of the administrative team of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, and a member of the TWU faculty. The Director oversees all daily operations in the library and directs the overall vision for the library. The faculty appointment is at the rank of Assistant Professor and may be accompanied by a tenure-track appointment depending on the academic preparation of the successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
· Formulate and administer all policies, regulations, plans and procedures to fulfill the mission, goals and objectives of the library.
· Develop, organize, and ensure accessibility to the library’s resources and services, including electronic resource management.
· Supervise staff and faculty members of the library.
· Serve as Department Chair and library representative to faculty committees.
· Manage the library budget
· Monitor and direct collection development, management and assessment practices.
· Report to the Vice President of Academic Affairs on library needs, library initiatives, and any special projects.
· Compile reports and oversee assessment of library services.
· Oversee vendor management and electronic resource acquisition.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· An ALA-accredited master’s in library science (MLIS/MLS), a comparable graduate-level degree and a Public Library Management certification such as the Public Library Management Institute certification, or significant experience supervising a library.
· At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a library.
· Experience with electronic resource management and integrated library systems.
· Experience with LibGuides.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with OCLC Worldshare Management Services ILS and OCLC Discovery.
· Experience with Ebsco products.
· Experience writing and receiving grants and alternative funding.
· Experience with strategic planning for a library.
· Experience with Open and Affordable Educational Resources.

Assisstant or Associate Professor of Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics of Tennessee Wesleyan University in Athens, Tennessee invites applications for a tenure-track position in Mathematics at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor scheduled to start in January 2026. The minimum requirement is a terminal degree in mathematics, or mathematics education. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to teach a wide variety of courses, both lower and upper division in the undergraduate degree in mathematics. Preference will be given to candidates with engineering background.
In addition to the teaching duties described above, this position will require the successful candidate to serve on college committees; assess/evaluate instruction, courses, and programs; participate in community service, departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and student recruitment and retention activities. In addition to these duties the position will serve as the advisor to a pre-engineering dual degree program partnered with University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and Tennessee Tech University. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to collegiality throughout their tenure at Tennessee Wesleyan University.

Assistant or Associate Professor of Health and Human Performance

Assistant or Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy
Tennessee Wesleyan University’s Master of Occupational Therapy Campus, located in Knoxville, TN, seeks a Full-time Assistant or Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy with experience in general OT practice techniques, working with geriatric populations, and standardized/non-standardized assessments used in practice. Knowledge and experience with neuroanatomy is preferred. This core faculty member will contribute to the MOT program team and facilitate courses as per education, work experience, and areas of expertise. This Assistant/Associate Professor will assist with the development of programmatic and course evaluation matrices, assist with the collaboration between the healthcare academic and clinical program offerings of and surrounding educational affiliation opportunities in the surroundings areas of Knoxville, Tennessee. The Assistant/Associate professor will serve on committees to further facilitate the development of the MOT program to continue to improve student and program outcomes.
Responsibilities of the Full-time Occupational Therapist Assistant/Associate Professor will be to perform education duties within the MOT Program, including planning, development, delivery, evaluation, and the selection and refinement of course content and lessons specific to their area of expertise. Service on various committees, such as the Admissions Committee, Thesis Committees, and others, is required.
All graduate faculty members are expected to be active participants in the professional and community life of the University. They advise and mentor graduate/adult students and contribute to a vibrant and growing academic program through participation in professional/scholarly activities, curriculum planning and development. Education
Applicants must hold a master’s degree, entry-level doctoral degree, or post-professional doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy awarded by an institution that is accredited by a United States Department of Education recognized regional accrediting body.
Minimum Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
· Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Tennessee (or can obtain one upon employment start-date).
· Initially certified by the National Board for Certification for Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
Minimum Work Experience:
· A minimum of 2 years of full-time work as an Occupational Therapist is preferred.

Provides leadership to faculty through committee work and collaboration, administrative staff through collaborative efforts, and students within the program; Demonstrates an understanding of university and department policies and procedures; Demonstrates an understanding and commitment to the program’s and institution’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

· Must be familiar with online and/or synchronous teaching and learning and willing to use Microsoft Teams, Campus (Learning Management System), and others as directed.
· Exceptional organization and course facilitation, planning skills, and experience with teaching at a post-secondary level preferred.
· A history of educating occupational therapy students (i.e., in the classroom setting, in Lab, or on fieldwork) is preferred.

Social Work Field Education Director Position Assistant/Associate Professor of Social Work
Tennessee Wesleyan University is seeking applicants for the Tenure-track faculty position of Field Education Director in the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Program. This position is designated Faculty [67%] with Social Work administrative responsibilities [33%]. The Faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Social Work is contingent upon academic instructional experience. The Field Education Director is a leadership position and works in tandem with and under the purview of the BSW Program Director. BSW Faculty report to the Social Sciences Department Chair.
The TWU BSW Program received reaffirmation of accreditation by the CSWE in 2023. Some specific responsibilities of the Field Education Director include, but are not limited to:
· Student recruitment/advising.
· The recruitment, maintenance, and review of community agencies for students’ field placements.
· The training of field instructors and their agencies.
· The development and promotion of field placement processes.
· Field practicum oversight, including liaison responsibilities.
· The evaluation of student learning in field practicums and field setting effectiveness
· Program monitoring, analysis, and assessments.
The successful applicant must have the ability to teach across the Social Work curriculum. TWU seeks a candidate who is committed to innovative teaching. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for teaching/mentoring undergraduate students, possess leadership and networking skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills, and administrative experience. Knowledge of community agencies within the region is desired, but not required.
Minimum Qualifications:
· A Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited institution,
· Two-years post-MSW social work practice experience, and
· Prior teaching experience in a CSWE-accredited program is a plus.
